The Sasha Project was inspired by the senseless death of Ms. Jasmine Gantt, who was shot and killed on Tuesday June 7th, 2022, in Columbia, SC.  People saw the violence between her and her boyfriend weeks before the fatal shooting, No police or intervention was done.  We failed her.  

In the Midlands of South Carolina, Black-on-Black crime is rising at an alarming rate.  These losses are too great for any family, friend, neighbor, or community.  It is time that we as a people UNITE.

​Stopping the violence in our community begins with EACH one of us.

Yes YOU.  Everyone has a place in this project.  Our objective is to build an army of people that care about our community and are ready to make a difference.  Black men I need you to stand with me.  Black women I need you to stand behind and support your man. 

No one can stop crime in our communities, not Law Enforcement, politicians, and not even Superman.  ONLY REAL BLACK MEN who are not afraid to stand, can change things in the black community.  The answers are within us.  The issues are ours, the ones doing the killing are ours and the ones that are dying are ours. 
This is OUR issue and Ours to fix.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO?

We are looking for people to join our army.  The only qualification is that you care about the community and are willing to take a stand.  Most people are not bad.  They are misunderstood, misguided, and/or uneducated.  If given a chance, we believe that everyone will do the right thing.

Start by joining the Sasha Project by filling out the form below or texting the word "VILLAGE" to 80123. Secondly get as many people as you can to do the same.  Within the next four weeks everyone that has joined will receive a message about a community meeting (Meeting of the Village). 
Everyone that attends will receive a FREE wrist band.
