MEETINGS & EVENTS MEETINGS Project Unity USA will be hosting a series of community meetings through- out Richland County to give citizens an opportunity to voice their opinions on the idea of having a police security camera system, called RAPTOR, installed in their respective areas for the purpose of discouraging crime. A discussion will take place on how such a project would benefit the community members and what they would be willing to do to help make it a success. Suggestions can be made on where the cameras can be best utilized. We will emphasize that RAPTOR would serve as one aspect of a total community effort to reduce our level of crime. Additionally, information will be given on how law enforcement, the community, and the media can work together to make this system a success. A short presentation of RAPTOR will be given, and citizens will see a demonstration of some of its capabilities. The first of these community meetings will be held at The Potter’s Christian Life Center, 2700 Haymarket Road, Columbia, SC 29210 (Off Broad River Road, near Columbia High School) on Thursday October 16th at 7:00 PM.
